Crypto Vote to Impact Midterms, 3.1 Million Advocates Mobilized
The midterm elections are set for November 3, with potential shifts in congressional power that could influence Bitcoin and crypto policy for years. Mason Lynaugh, Executive Director of Stand With Crypto, highlights a final mobilization effort involving 3.1 million advocates, 50 state chapters, 47 college chapters, and 45 endorsed candidates. He emphasizes the significance of crypto voters as a low-propensity swing bloc that campaigns invest heavily to engage. Lynaugh points to bipartisan support for the Clarity Act and GENIUS Act as evidence of the issue's broad appeal. He anticipates the next Congress will be the most pro-Bitcoin in history, regardless of the election outcome. Key discussions include the impact of tight races decided by small margins, the increase in A-rated lawmakers from 90 to 338 in three years, and the challenges posed by some Democrats against crypto initiatives. Lynaugh also addresses the contrasting strategies of Fair Shake's 95 million dollars versus grassroots volunteer efforts.
