Justin Sun Expresses Pessimistic Outlook on Bitcoin Due to AI and Quantum Threats
Justin Sun has expressed a pessimistic outlook on Bitcoin due to advancements in AI and quantum computing technology. He pointed out that institutional investors entering through Bitcoin ETFs are underestimating the risks of a collapse in cryptographic systems. In an interview, he stated, "Personally, I have become more pessimistic about Bitcoin." He referred to the point at which quantum computers could undermine existing public key cryptography, raising concerns about the potential for asset theft if the digital signatures of Bitcoin wallets are attacked. Justin Sun claimed that these risks have not been adequately reflected in Bitcoin's price. He emphasized that "Bitcoin has already become a widely invested financial product through ETFs," and many investors do not fully understand Bitcoin technology. He also mentioned the advancement of AI technology as a risk factor, expressing concerns about the possibility of cryptographic system attacks using existing computers. Justin Sun revealed that Tron is pushing for the adoption of quantum-resistant cryptography and is reviewing the Falcon-512 and ML-DSA-44 algorithms. This statement is interpreted as a warning about long-term security risks amid the ongoing commodification of Bitcoin.
